Face to Face: Soul, Suffering, and the God Who Meets Us
Rev. Dr. Robert Kolb is currently hospitalized in Germany, so Rev. Dr. Rich Rudowske will be filling in with Dr. Chad Lakies for a cognitive and sociological exploration of the self, the soul, and the God who meets us in suffering.
In a world of hidden wounds, fragile identity, and growing isolation, the Gospel speaks face-to-face—calling us into honest conversation with God and one another. Join theologians Dr. Robert Kolb (Face to Face: Martin Luther’s View of Reality) and Dr. Chad Lakies (How the Light Shines Through: Resilient Witness in Dark Times) for a rich exploration of the self, the soul, and the God who meets us in suffering.
Together, we will engage Luther’s insights on Anfechtungen, Law and Gospel, and the consolation of Christ, alongside contemporary questions of identity, trauma, and the modern self. Come discover how the Church can cultivate compassionate community, mutual consolation, and resilient hope in a broken world.
