Job Title: Temporary Receptionist Texas District, LCMS

Job Duration: 3 weeks (to cover paternity leave) July 10 – July 28

Job Summary:
We are seeking a temporary receptionist to join our team and provide essential administrative support during a three-week period to cover a paternity leave absence. As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere. Your excellent communication skills and organizational abilities will contribute to the smooth functioning of our office during this temporary assignment.


  • Greet and welcome visitors in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate individuals or departments.
  • Maintain a neat and organized reception area, ensuring it is presentable at all times.
  • Receive and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries promptly.
  • Schedule appointments and manage meeting room bookings.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, such as data entry, photocopying, and filing.
  • Provide accurate information and address inquiries about the company, its products, and services.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.


  • Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using office equipment, such as telephones, printers, and photocopiers.
  • Familiarity with basic computer software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexibility to work the designated office hours of 8 am to 4:30 pm.
