LCMS Church Extension Fund Senior Vice President To
Take the Reigns After Retirement of Stephen Block
AUSTIN, Texas—On Saturday, March 3, 2018, after a nationwide search process, the Texas District has named Becca Jones as executive director of the Texas District Church Extension Fund (CEF). In this role, Jones will provide strategic direction and oversee the daily operations of CEF.
“We are extraordinarily grateful for Block’s leadership over the last 25 years,” Ken Hennings, president of the Texas District, said. “We are confident that Jones will build on the momentum of Block and his team, and play a key role in the continued growth of CEF.”
Jones has 18 years of experience with The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). Most recently, she served as senior vice president of marketing and customer support at the Lutheran Church Extension Fund. Prior to this role, Jones served at The LCMS Foundation as ministry support coordinator. She was also project coordinator for Edward Jones Investments, a St. Louis-based brokerage firm.
Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in management and communications from Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon.
Jones is married to Wally Jones and are blessed with five children and 11 grandchildren. She is dedicated to living by example and encouraging others to enjoy Christ’s presence, even in adversity. Jones publicly shares her personal story with humor, warmth, transparency and strength.
