In just a few weeks, University Lutheran Church (ULC) in Austin will begin to occupy a brand new ministry site. Located at the same address as the old building—on the corner of 21st and San Antonio Streets—this vibrant campus ministry will have at its disposal a portion of the ground floor of a brand new 17-story student housing complex. Hundreds of students will live in the units of University House built above the new ministry space. Thousands of University of Texas students will see the new ULC front door as they walk to and from class every day.ULC Worship space

Rev. Richard Mittwede, campus pastor, and Marcia Mittwede, director of international student ministry, have been connecting with students for worship, Bible study, community outreach, ESL classes and more. During construction of the new building, Pastor Mark Nuckols and the members of St. Paul in Austin generously opened their doors for ULC’s ministry. St. Paul will continue to be a key ministry site for international student classes and gatherings.

God opened the door to provide the new ministry space through a ground lease agreement with University House. Now the adventure begins as the Mittwede’s begin to make new connections and utilize the new venue for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Please pray that God will bless this new season. In addition, please consider donating to the ministry in order to provide furnishings and other items for the new facility. You can contact Pastor Richard Mittwede at richard@ulcaustin.com.
