On Sunday, June 15, 2025, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Temple, Texas, commissioned nine new evangelists who have completed the Texas District Evangelist Training Series. These faithful men and women are now sent into their daily vocations and relationships to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ.
Each evangelist developed a unique Faith Community Engagement Plan, tailored to the people and places where God has already placed them. These plans demonstrate how the Holy Spirit works through ordinary settings—from neighborhoods to gyms to fire stations—as mission fields for the Gospel.
Joe Aguilar:
Joe is passionate about reaching the youth of Temple and Belton. His plan focuses on connecting boys to Trail Life USA, where they are mentored by godly men and led to know Jesus. His vision is to help raise up a new generation of unapologetic, Bible-believing leaders.
Trish Davis:
At her gym (T3), Trish has placed anonymous “How Can I Pray for You Today?” boxes in restrooms and wears a shirt that invites conversation. She is forming a prayer team and hopes to see the Lord develop a growing prayer community—and perhaps Bible studies—in that setting. Her mission: to let the Spirit work through natural relationships and spiritual openness where people already gather.
Stacey Edwards:
Stacey engages her neighborhood through casual community gatherings like Front Yard Fridays and plans for in-home Bible studies. Through spontaneous conversations, she shares her testimony and points others to the hope found in Christ.
Joelle Johnson:
Joelle’s plan is simple yet intentional: She will be present in the everyday places she visits—grocery stores, feed stores, and coffee shops—building relationships through consistent, friendly Christian encounters. She prays for guidance and trusts the Holy Spirit to open doors for meaningful faith conversations.
Sally Krueger:
Sally has a heart for equipping LWML Texas District women to be bold witnesses for Christ. Through speaking engagements, social media, written resources, and personal encouragement, she hopes to help many women share the Gospel clearly and confidently.
Rev. Larry Krueger:
Larry’s plan, titled “BLESS Salado,” uses a five-part rhythm: Begin with Prayer, Listen, Eat, Serve, and Share. Starting in his neighborhood, Larry seeks to foster a culture of intentional care and Gospel witness—blessing neighbors and pointing them to Jesus.
Dawn Riess:
Dawn is opening her home for monthly gatherings with women in her neighborhood, especially those who may be hesitant to enter a church. These evenings will include prayer, meals, encouragement, and time in God’s Word, offering a welcoming environment for spiritual conversations and Christ-centered care. She also plans to prayer walk her neighborhood, asking God to open hearts and homes.
Beth Seeliger:
In Morgan’s Point Resort, Beth is forming a fiber arts group to combat isolation and build deep friendships among women. The group will also make prayer shawls, creating space for fellowship, prayer, and reflection on God’s love through tangible gifts of compassion.
Eric Seeliger:
As a retired firefighter, Eric understands the emotional and physical toll of the profession. He is building relationships with firefighters in Temple, Belton, and Morgan’s Point, offering support and, as God provides opportunity, sharing his faith and praying with them.
Each evangelist is stepping boldly into the mission field the Lord has placed before them. Their stories remind us that evangelistic efforts is not about having all the answers but about showing up, loving others, and trusting God to work through His people.
Please join us in praying for these nine evangelists. May their faithful witness encourage others to recognize where God is calling them—and whom He is sending them to reach.
