God sent His one and only Son for our salvation. Jesus sent His followers to proclaim His name and demonstrate His love, grace, and power. God’s people, the church, send workers into the abundant harvest field.
Eagle Ford Church, based in Kenedy, Texas, is in the midst of sending. Jonathan and Hannah Berkesch, founding missionaries of the Eagle Ford oil patch ministry, are transitioning back to their roots. They are heading back to northern Wisconsin to engage in new mission work near their families. We praise God for their self-sacrificial work, the multiple ministry sites they started, and their steps of faith in service to God and His people. They are being sent on a new mission adventure.
But because of intentional discipleship, a new worker is being sent to take over mission outreach in Kenedy and surrounding areas. Di’Anna Bocanegra (pictured on the left with Hannah and Jonathan Berkesch) will continue her outreach to those who do not know Christ. She facilitates the Women of Valor Bible study weekly and helps with local outreach to women and children. Di’Anna also works full time as a home health assistant. She hopes to expand outreach and develop additional workers for the Lord’s mission in the Karnes County area.
Please pray for Di’Anna as she brings the Gospel to the lost and hurting. Please pray for Jonathan and Hannah as they begin a new season of ministry.
