Highlights
Deborah Woods from Shepherd of the Hills wanted to start a faith community where she lived. She was convicted when Rev. Philip Doublestein said 96% of apartment dwellers are unchurched or de-churched. While she was timid to start independently, she found the perfect partner, another evangelist who joined her. Next month, they will have been meeting for one full year. They have grown where a regular group of seven come together weekly for Bible study in Deborah’s apartment home. They do not go to church yet but want that Christian fellowship and study of the Word.
Kara Latimer, an evangelist from Word of Life, has been blessed with the opportunity to witness to a young woman who got caught up in the Wiccan religion. Rev. Ken Mitschke baptized this woman and her family in Kara’s pool. Kara now meets with two former Wiccans and another individual for weekly bible study as they learn about Jesus and all the Bible says about Him. Kara isn’t stopping there but remains intentional and wants to reach out to young mothers in her Home Owners Association.
