Each of those words is the theme for one day of Glorybound 2018 based on our theme text for the gathering. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance THE RACE that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2 (ESV) Who is Invited to Glorybound? Students entering 8th grade through students who have just completed high school along with their adult leaders are encouraged to register for Glorybound. Students from LCMS congregations are invited along with friends they may wish to bring. We have room for 1,000 participants. When will Glorybound happen? Glorybound will begin Thursday evening, July 12 and conclude with worship on Sunday, July 15, 2018. What is the ratio of Students to adult leaders? Every group regardless of size needs to have at least 2 adult leaders who are at least 21 years old. The ratio is as follows: 1 – 8 youth – 2 adults 9 – 16 youth – 3 adults 17 – 24 youth – 4 adults 25 – 32 youth – 5 adults 33 – 40 youth – 6 adults How much will Glorybound cost and when will registration open? Registration will open on October 1, 2017 and rates for registration will be: October 1 – December 15: Earlybird Registration Rate – $160 per person December 16 – April 1: Regular Registration Rate – $170 per person April 2 – June 15: Late Registration Rate – $190 per person Hotel cost per person is $109 regardless of when you register. All groups must stay in the DFW Westin Hotel. What happens at Glorybound?
