Church planting efforts are growing throughout Texas. The Texas District of the LCMS supports a growing number of church planting networks and church planter formation efforts. In 2016, a total of $1,376,538 is being allocated from mission offerings to support the expanding number of new mission multiplication efforts throughout the state.

 

The ACTS Network

Based in Northwest Austin, this new network has launched three churches and has two additional church plants ready for 2016 along with two more in 2017.

Church Planter Assessment, Coaching, and Training

Providing resources and expertise, the Texas District supports congregations and church planters with assessment, coaching and training.

Eagle Ford Church/Chaplain Corps

Jonathan and Hannah Berkesch serve in Karnes County, Texas as missionaries to oil workers in this central area of oil development in the Eagle Ford Shale Play.

Eternity Matters Most Network

This network is led by Rev. Mark Schaefer and a team of coaches for the purpose of training church planters and ministry leaders. GraceBomb Records is the music arm of the EM2 Network. Fourteen workers are being trained as dozens of planters gather regularly to encourage one another.

FiveTwo Church Planting Network/CrossPoint, Katy

This network, based out of CrossPoint, Katy, is establishing vibrant training tools for church planters in Texas and across the nation. FiveTwo hopes to launch 1,000,000 sacramental entrepreneurs in the decades ahead.

Frontera Mission Partnership

Working with the Pacific Southwest and Rocky Mountain Districts of the LCMS, the Texas District is working to establish training centers along the Texas-Mexico border in order to send new workers with the Gospel into this area of great need.

Great Commission Outreach/LINC Southwest – Uvalde

Lutherans Intentionally Networking for Christ is a new effort in Southwest Texas and far West Texas to bring the Gospel to people in need. From Del Rio/Cuidad Acuña to Uvalde to Eagle Pass and beyond, servants of Christ are working to bring the Good News of Jesus to unreached areas.
