Missions in Texas: Many Languages
Thirty-five different languages are spoken by Texas District congregation members. More than fifteen are used in worship services. This vast outreach is made possible through your mission support. In 2016, a total of $304,680 is being given to support Hispanic missions, and a total of $182,800 has been allocated to support outreach to African, Asian and Deaf communities around the state.
Missional Worker Training, Brownsville, Mercedes and Rio Grande Valley
Missional Worker Training is a network formed to train workers for greater outreach. Dozens of adults, young people and their families are being trained for outreach throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Partnering with the Rio Grande Mission Action Council (RioMAC), significant community ministry projects are helping to share the Gospel in creative ways.
