The Texas District continues to support new church plants through no-interest funding agreements of up to $200,000. A total of $263,775 is being allocated from mission offerings to support brand new church plants in 2016. These new starts include efforts in the following locations:

1. Houston Ethiopian – Memorial Houston is working to begin its second ethnic ministry to reach the growing Ethiopian population.
2. Katy, NewChurch – Frank Hart is leading an effort to connect with individuals and families who do not know Christ in the Katy area.
3. ACTS Church Northwest Austin – Rev. Barrett Grebing is preparing to launch another ACTS Church in the growing northwest Austin area.
4. Plano Oromo Lutheran Church – In partnership with Faith Lutheran Church in Plano, Disciples of the Way is planning this new ministry for the Oromo speaking people in the area.
5. St. Paul, The Grove and Grace in Killeen are working to launch a new church in the 190 corridor.

Several additional new start possibilities around the state are being discussed by local congregations and Texas District church planting networks. Please pray that the Lord of the harvest raises up workers for the great harvest in Texas!
