Welcome to the President’s Office of the Texas District

The mission of the Texas District is to strengthen congregations to:

  • REACH the lost
  • DISCIPLE the saved
  • CARE for people

The president’s office supports professional church workers and congregations through the district vice presidents, circuit counselors and staff. This office provides information and documents helpful to professional church workers and congregations of the District.

It is my prayer that Christ’s love would increase in your life and that you would be empowered by God’s Spirit to live boldly in faith and proclaim Christ’s love to others.

~ Rev. Ken Hennings, President

Helpful Links

The process of calling a pastor is broader than finding an available pastor. During a vacancy a congregation can take the opportunity to identify and evaluate its strengths, weaknesses and vision for ministry. Once that information is gathered a congregation has a better idea of what kind of leadership gifts they need from a pastor. The mission and ministry facilitator and circuit visitor are people from the Texas District President’s Office who are experienced, trained and available to assist.

Prayer concerns, thanksgivings and calls extended to church workers from Texas District congregations and schools are emailed weekly from the president’s office through Minister to Minister. Click below to:

The Texas District Treasurer’s Office is pleased to offer documents, forms and helpful links that provide you with the information for many questions that may arise on a day-to-day basis.

This document is a tool to encourage and guide those who are on the official roster(s) of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in their ethical decisions and service to others.
