Just a few weeks ago, Pastor Ted Doering had the honor of baptizing a whole family during a worship gathering of Narrative Church in Round Rock. Narrative is a new church plant of Faith Lutheran Church in Georgetown. Pastor Doering and the group from Narrative are reaching out to the growing greater-Austin community. Narrative is one of several new LCMS churches reaching new people with the Gospel. Have you ever thought about the possibility of starting something new to reach new people with the Good News of Jesus?

Your first reaction might be: We could never do that!

But wait! Don’t lose heart. Consider these Church Planting Strategy thoughts:

1. Larger churches have resources that can make a new ministry a reality.
2. Smaller churches have remarkable success in starting new ministries.
3. Land, buildings and new personnel are not needed to get started.
4. We need more LCMS churches in Texas—the LCMS is only .5% of the state population!
5. Partnerships in planting bring strong results.

What are your next steps?
