Congregations

The Texas District, comprised of more than 360 churches, supports congregations by facilitating the development and sending of ministry leaders to carry out God’s mission both locally and globally.

The Congregation section is focused on providing helpful resources to churches – new, old, and future – and their staff. Is your church calling a new pastor? Does your church want to plant a new ministry? This section will provide the necessary documents and tools you need.

Is there someone in your congregation gifted with spreading the Gospel? The Texas District started an Evangelist Training Program that develops and trains interested individuals to be evangelists who reach out to new people with the Gospel. This includes forming Bible studies, providing food to the homeless, assisting those with addictions, and much more.

Texas is known for having some significant natural and unnatural disasters. The Texas District is here to support during and after those disasters by coordinating volunteers, providing financial assistance to church workers affected by the disaster and much more. This section is the place you want to look at when your congregation is in need of help due to a disaster.

Other parts of this section include information about the Intentional Interim Ministry (the district providing experienced interim pastors), church stewardship, youth ministry, parish nursing as well as information about the Texas District Church Extension Fund.
